The Tooth Puller

The Department of Fools present...

THE TOOTH PULLER

 8:00pm // $12.00 // The Striker 123 E 24th St NYC, 10010

Commedia dell'Arte is the great-grand daddy of modern improv and sketch comedy.  Come see some of the goofy goodness which gave birth to the comedy of today!

The Department of Fools is back for sloppy seconds!  After a successful run with their original show "A History of Servitude", the Fools are back with their newest show: "The Tooth-Puller".   A fast-paced farce of masked mayhem, "The Tooth-Puller" is a carnivalesque confection  wrapped in hallucinogenic treats, sprinkled with dancing octogenarians, with a pinch of dick jokes, dipped in a festive musical fondue, topped with an ever-changing improvised ending, and filled with a creamy center of love and revenge.

The Department of Fools has an international cast from around the globe including Sylvie Mae Baldwin, Yair Ben-Dor (ABC's Quantico), Jessenia Cuesta, Matthew A.J. Gregory (Power of Darkness at The Mint), Shira Hadad, Sylvia Morigi, Ben Rademacher, Andy Richardson (Broadway - Newsies and Gypsy), Anna Tempte, and  Rotem Weiner.

A Year With Frog And Toad

From the CTC Website:

A Year with Frog and Toad
Music by Robert Reale
Lyrics and book by Willie Reale
Original Direction by David Petrarca
Directed by Peter Rothstein

Assistant Directed by Sylvie Mae Baldwin

Waking from hibernation in the spring, the perky Frog and the worrywart Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, and learn life lessons through four, fun-filled seasons. The amphibian odd couple celebrate and rejoice in their differences that make them the best-est of friends while joined by a colorful cast of birds, mice, turtles, and that slo-o-ow snail with the mail. Nominated for three Tony Awards® including Best Musical, this unforgettable and tuneful musical is back on our stage after almost a decade! Don’t miss this exuberant story based on the treasured books by Arnold Lobel in a musical that soars like a kite and blossoms like spring.

This production was commissioned and created by Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis, MN.
